Meet Izrael

Izrael was born on the sunny island of Singapore on 11 July 1994. He was the middle children of four other siblings in his big family. He developed his passion for the performing arts scene since he was young. He had competed and represented his school in major competitions and had won many awards from it.

At the age of 17, Izrael decided to try out sports when he was doing his A-Levels at the college he was studying. He tried out Silat which is a Malay Martial Arts for a period of 3 years. While he did enjoy doing the sport, he had never sparked an interest in pursuing it further.

As all able-bodied Singaporean man, Izrael was enlisted in the army for his National Service. He served his time for his country for a period of 2 years doing many different tasks required. While serving his nation, he learnt many valuable life lessons that helped him to determine his journey ahead.

He discovered his passion for writing during his National Service when he underwent tough time alone. He learnt that with writing, he was able to pour his heart onto it without his worries. As time went on, he managed published his writings on his personal blog. Not only that, some of his articles were printed out on his country’s newspaper and he managed to get an internship with a news website.

After his national service ended, he went into the outdoor activities industry. He worked alongside students in supervising them doing the activities required. It was then that his enthusiasm developed and it compelled him to further work in that line. He currently enjoys doing all of the activities such as kayaking, rock-climbing, abseiling, flying-fox and others.

Abseiling For The First Time

As of now, he spent most of his time doing the things he loves. He enjoys reading and writing about book reviews and other topic of interests. He also spent his leisure time doing volunteering work in an organization for troubled youths. Not forgetting to spend the remaining of his time to travel and seek out new experiences.

    • Hey! Well, that’s the thing about life; things change, friends leave and life doesn’t stop for anyone. So all I have to do is to pick up and battle through my life no matter the circumstances. I will definitely be looking to more of your most!

  2. I think that your fascination with all different sorts of activities in your home country is admirable. The fact that that you went into the military for your National Service is something that I wish the United States would do; not to punish or force children into the military, but to gain valuable lessons and ideals that they may be able to take with them when they decide to leave (especially around areas where teens grow up in bad and harsh environments).

I think that your passion for helping others whether its fellow students or spending your leisure time doing volunteering work in an organization for troubled youths. I wanted to thank you for that. God Bless.
